European Higher Education Fairs (EHEF) provide European HE institutions and HE organisations from all Member States with a platform for promoting their courses and HE systems to prospective students from the countries in question.
The target groups for the Fairs were EU HEIs, individuals, potential higher education students from the countries in the regions, their advisors and study sponsors. Each Fair accommodated 60-90 information booths and attracted more than 40 000 visitors in total. Fair venues were agreed upon after discussion with the EC HQ and the Delegations in Asia, and responded to the desire to repeat fairs in countries that hosted successful fairs in 2006 (India) and 2007 (Thailand).
EU-Asia Higher Education Symposia was be composed of plenary and subject-specific seminars in selected priority subjects relating to higher education system development (Bologna) and cooperation between the EU and selected countries. They included a matchmaking platform, and displays and presentations on higher education co-operation, such as Asia-Link projects, EMECW mobility schemes and others.
