Following the success of the previous European Higher Education Fairs (EHEF) in Thailand, the 2009 edition took place from 31 October to 1 November 2009 at the Royal Paragon Hall Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok.
EHEF Bangkok 2009 is part of a series of European events in Asian countries financed by the European Commission. The implementation of EHEF Bangkok 2009 has been assigned to a consortium lead by the European University Association (EUA) and includes DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and Nuffic (Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education). EHEF Bangkok 2009 is part of the EU funded EU-Asia Higher Education Platform project.
The fair took place simultaneously with the OCSC international education fair. It was the largest European education event in the country, and aimed to provide an interactive platform for representatives of EU Member States and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to inform Thai students, their parents and their study advisors about study opportunities in Europe.
