Database of Education Exchange Programmes (DEEP)
On the DEEP portal, users will be able to access: universities from the ASEM partners organised by country and by field of study (over 7,000 higher education institutions), scholarships and exchange programmes available from the country of origin and preferred country of destination, official agencies assisting foreign students, a short description of Asian and European education systems, entry requirements and credit recognition procedures anecdotes and stories from students' experiences of studying in Asia and Europe. DEEP aims to promote greater awareness of study opportunities among students in Asia and Europe and to encourage mobility within ASEM's academic community.
University Mobility in Asia and the Pacifc (UMAP)
A voluntary association of government and non-government representatives of the higher education sector in the region that aims to achieve enhanced international understanding through increased mobility of university students and staff. UMAP has services and information for students and universities seeking study opportunities and exchanges.
National study opportunity sites in Asia
While several countries have specific websites and 'brands' for study opportunities, other countries house most study information on the website of the ministry of education.
A multi-government agency initiative launched by the Singapore Government in 2003 to establish and promote Singapore as a premier education hub and help international students make an informed decision on studying in Singapore.
China Association for International Education Exchange
Affiliated to the Ministry of Education, provides exhibit planning for education fairs and conferences, group recruiting visits, and government approved marketing advice to various actors in the HE sector. They are concerned first and foremost with opening opportunities to outgoing Chinese students but are also recently concerned with Study in China. They sponsors specific programmes for European students.
China Scholarship Council
Has been entrusted by the Ministry of Education with the enrolment and administration of international students in China sponsored by Chinese Government Scholarships. The number of excellency scholarships for international students has exploded in recent years. For generic information dissemination on study in China, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and Chinese Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), directly under the Ministry of Education, provide on-line enrolment and information consulting.

University Grants Commission- India
The UGC is the only grant-giving agency in India which has been vested with two responsibilities: that of providing funds and that of coordination, determination and maintenance of standards in institutions of higher education.
Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO)
JASSO is developing many programmes to help promote student exchange. This includes: International University exchange seminars (Joint seminars with Japanese universities and international students and academics from the Asian region). JASSO also participates in study abroad fairs. The JASSO network has offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, and Indonesia. These branch offices serve as education information centres providing consulting services on study in Japan; higher educational institutes, Japanese-language institutes, and scholarships.
Offers institution and course searches as well as an inquiry system and links to education promotion Centres and overseas Malaysian student offices. It also advertises English study in Malaysia, and promotes the possibility of bilingual study, an attractive option for Asian students who may not want to travel to Western, English speaking countries.
